WelcoWelcome to Takako Japan Store. I moved from Tokyo to the rich nature of Shinshu (Nagano) in 2021 with my husband, a former opera singer.
Shinshu is home to Nidec, the largest music box manufacturer in Japan.
Music boxes are a very important treasure to my husband and I. As fate would have it, we officially signed a sales contract with Nidec in 2023 exclusively for overseas sales.
Nidec changed its name from Sankyo in 2023, but continues to carry on the tradition of music box making, designing and assembling movements, and maintaining and adjusting handmade music boxes.
Our mission is to bring Nidec’s music boxes overseas with my husband, who has a wealth of musical knowledge from his many years as an opera singer in New York.
We do not keep an inventory of music boxes as much as possible, and we inspect the finished ones at the music box factory before we ship them out.
We do not ship directly from the factory, but send the recorded music box to the customer after inspection and sound check, so the customer can receive the music box with peace of mind.
